In our life time we make so many mistakes and wrong things. Our mistakes are not end of the world, of course if it doesn't go too far, with what I mean global mistakes, killing, and such a bad things like these. And many people will never admit their own mistakes! So, they does not learn from mistakes!
You can only learn from a mistake after you admit you’ve made it. As soon as you start blaming other people (or the universe itself) you distance yourself from any possible lesson. But if you courageously stand up and honestly say “This is my mistake and I am responsible” the possibilities for learning will move towards you. Admission of a mistake, even if only privately to yourself, makes learning possible by moving the focus away from blame assignment and towards understanding. Wise people admit their mistakes easily. They know progress accelerates when they do. This advice runs counter to the cultural assumptions we have about mistakes and failure, namely that they are shameful things. We’re taught in school, in our families, or at work to feel guilty about failure and to do whatever we can to avoid mistakes. This sense of shame combined with the inevitability of setbacks when attempting difficult things explains why many people give up on their goals: they’re not prepared for the mistakes and failures they’ll face on their way to what they want. What’s missing in many people’s beliefs about success is the fact that the more challenging the goal, the more frequent and difficult setbacks will be. The larger your ambitions, the more dependent you will be on your ability to overcome and learn from your mistakes.

But for many reasons admitting mistakes is difficult. An implied value in many cultures is that our work represents us: if you fail a test, then you are a failure. If you make a mistake then you are a mistake (You may never have felt this way, but many people do. It explains the behavior of some of your high school or college friends). Like eggs, steak and other tasty things we are given letter grades (A, B, C, D and F) organizing us for someone else’s consumption: universities and employers evaluate young candidates on their grades, numbers based on scores from tests unforgiving to mistakes.

For anyone than never discovers a deeper self-identity, based not on lack of mistakes but on courage, compassionate intelligence, commitment and creativity, life is a scary place made safe only by never getting into trouble, never breaking rules and never taking the risks that their hearts tell them they need to take.

Learning from mistakes requires three things:

  1. Putting yourself in situations where you can make interesting mistakes
  2. Having the self-confidence to admit to them
  3. Being courageous about making changes

One way to categorize mistakes is into these categories:

  • Stupid: Absurdly dumb things that just happen. Stubbing your toe, dropping your pizza on your neighbor’s fat cat or poking yourself in the eye with a banana.
  • Simple: Mistakes that are avoidable but your sequence of decisions made inevitable. Having the power go out in the middle of your party because you forgot to pay the rent, or running out of beer at said party because you didn’t anticipate the number of guests.
  • Involved: Mistakes that are understood but require effort to prevent. Regularly arriving late to work/friends, eating fast food for lunch every day, or going bankrupt at your start-up company because of your complete ignorance of basic accounting.
  • Complex: Mistakes that have complicated causes and no obvious way to avoid next time. Examples include making tough decisions that have bad results, relationships that fail, or other unpleasant or unsatisfying outcomes to important things.

Good morning my people, it's 11:01 in Sheffield, UK. The weather today is wet, grey but kinda warm and calm. It's only four days left and Christmas will knock on Your doors. Family, food, songs & presents! As we all know, not everyone will celebrate Christmas, so for the rest of people I wish short and easy working day, and bright and not less happy winter time! ;)
Always remember to be happy because you never know who's falling in love with your smile.
I just wanted to put some thought on here, so I can produce new ones, haven't got so much free space in my head though. Here I go...
Yesterday, all day long I was writting "my life story" (short version). Writting, deleting, editing, again deleting... Still uncomplete. I am not sure what can I share with people, what I should share, and what I should not. To share a memories are not sin, right? Is it wrong? Is it good or even worthless? I gave answer to myself: If you have right people with whom to share and who will listen, go ahead! But if there is no one, or just somebody, it's not worth it! It's will only hurt and dissapoint you! And there is third option: share with everyone, known people, unknown, don't care that much. Write/say enough sensitive so people listen to you, and don't say too much personal information, that in future could harm You. World is full with crazy unstable people. Be aware what info You share. But to be honest, you never know, maybe it's all fake!?
Who cares and who's not? Simple as that: people who knows me - cares. People, who doesn't know me, doesn't care or I write true or not. Most important, that information is readable, interesting and informative.
So I am mixing few ingredients together: True, action, love & information. And then this delicious coctail are ready for people who visit my blog!
Thanks for being here with me!
Kind Regards,
Andrushka.

P.s. If we talk about memories, this is the first song I fall in love when I came to Cyprus! Still love it! Ahh, great memories! :)

Last couple of days my mind is flying around the "Peace & war" subject! Had some chats with friends about it, but anyways I can not make my summary! This is not subject You can talk and go through it and fininsh it! This is never ending story. People fought for freedom and land, now people fight for money and power. What is army? Bunch of innocent man who were ordered to kill "enemy" and protect his land. Who didn't had choice to escape from army, because they threated you that your future is destroyed, or they will take away your wife and kids. Or raised and trained killers who are ordered to kill everything what moves in the war field? People? Machines?
Why they teach us for army now? Some people will say: "They steel our time with stupid and useless things, I am just loosing time for my studies" and "They literally kidnap young boys, teach them to kill and teach how to use the guns to kill another human, what for"? And some other people would say: "Great! We need people who will protect us and our country, I am so proud of my soldier boy" and "In army every boy becomes man and learns to respect his country and other people" Isn't dilemma?
So there comes my questions:
  • Do we need army? If yes - why?! If no - Why?!
  • Did You finish your army service, if not why!? How did you escape of it?
  • No armies - no war???
  • Could You kill the people?
  • What about human rights? people are forced to go to army? How comes? Where are human rights?
There are still 23 countries with mandatory military services!!! As Russia, Turkey, Greece, South Korea and others. These people have no choice to go to army or not! Then people try to leave country or any other reason to escape from military service! Is it normal? Are we slaves?

There are still so many things to talk about it! Sure we will, in short future wait for new blog! :)

THE family of Georgios Chrysostomou, missing since the coup and invasion of 1974 at the age of 22, finally buried his remains yesterday in Limassol.  Chrysostomou’s remains were discovered in a mass grave in his home village of Ashia which is now occupied by Turkey.

He was called up for duty during the 1974 Turkish invasion.

His remains were identified via DNA testing.

Justice Minister Loucas Louca addressed the mourners at the funeral service which was conducted by Limassol Bishop Athanasios.

In Eleftheria square in Nicosia, meanwhile, relatives of missing persons attached yellow ribbons to a tree along with the names of loved ones who went missing in 1974. The ribbons are placed there every year, signifying hope that those who were left behind will eventually discover what had happened.

To date, the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus has identified 310 individuals - 249 Greek Cypriots and 61 Turkish Cypriots - who went missing in the events of 1963-4 and 1974.

_I went to the party and remembered what you said. You asked me not to drink alcohol. So I drank a Sprite. I felt proud of myself, as you said I should feel. You said I should not drink and drive, contrary to what some friends told me. I made a healthy choice and your advice was correct, as all you give me forever.

When the party finally ended, people began to drive without being able to do so. I went to my car with the certainty that he would return home in peace. I never imagined what awaited me, Mom. Now I'm lying in the street and I hear the policeman say: "The kid that caused this accident was drunk." Mom, his voice seems so distant. My blood is spilled everywhere and I'm trying with all my might not moan. I can hear the doctors say, "This girl is going to die." I have the certainty that the young man, who ran at full speed, decided to drink and drive, and now I have to die.

Why do people do this, Mom, knowing that this is going to ruin many lives? The pain is cutting me like a hundred knives. Tell my sister not to cry, tell Daddy to be strong. And when I go to heaven, I'll be watching for you all. Someone should have taught that boy is wrong to drink and drive. Maybe if his parents would have said, I would not be dying now. My breath is getting weaker, more and more. Mom, these are my last moments and I feel so desperate. I wish I could hug Mom, while I'm lying here dying. I wish I could tell you how much I love you, Mom. So .. I love ... y. .. goodbye ... "

_    I am sick of people using God as a way to justify their hatred and their irrational fear, but most of all, using him to justify their desire for blood. The real sinners out there are the Homophobics who express their violence in the name of something peaceful, against people who have as much right, emotion and feeling as they do, if not more!

I'm a Christian and I am interested in religions of all cultures. Do NOT come and preach to me that I will go to hell for believing and supporting not 'Gay' rights - but HUMAN rights. Because your sexuality has nothing to do with your humanity.

_     Hey mates! How are You doing? I am fine, thanks, just now I am sitting here with laptop on my knees and hot mint tea with two teaspoons of sugar on my right side and cheezy crisps on the left. Time to time one of my eyes pays attention to Tv which shows some pretty stupid serial and quite inspiring advertisings! At least something usefull! As I started to upgrade my blog few days ago, every day some new ideas comes to my mind, but I really would like to hear from You my people! Suggestions, ideas, critics, anything! Talk to me through Facebook or [email protected]. That's it what I have to share with You tonight, but next news are coming soon! Have a great night/day wherever and whoever you are! Cheers ladies & gentleman! :) Goodnight, Kalinixta, Iyi Geceler, Arlabunakti! :) x x x

_I’m not a very articulate person when it comes to verbally expressing things that goes on inside my mind. There are voices in my head that never stop, invading me even in my sleep. I found out that the only thing to make them stop is to get them all out of my system. So, I am trying to get rid of them this way - creating something, putting my thoughts on paper or web!
