_My full name is Andris Cirulis, but people call me Andzha, Andrushka, Andreas, Andrico, Andrew, Andy and many other names. Feel free, I don't mind!
I’m not a very articulate person when it comes to verbally expressing things that goes on inside my mind. There are voices in my head that never stop, invading me even in my sleep. I found out that the only thing to make them stop is to get them all out of my system. So, I am trying to get rid of them this way - creating something, putting my thoughts on paper or web!

my professional career:
My career started at my young age, as my parents owned quite big shopping and cafe complex I was kinda born in marketing business! Since my childhood I spent a lot of time in kitchen. Loved to help prepare food and especially to decorate it. So, inspired from my family and all people around me I started to study cooking. Everyone of my family is great chef, everyone cook different and amazing delicious foods. Many people from whom get inspiration! Here I summarized my experience:
- 1998 - 2007 part time job @ "ViVa" LTD, Incukalns, Latvia. My parents shopping complex what includes cafe, shop, solarium, barber shop, flower shop, movie rent & local newspaper designing. There I was part time executive assistant who tracked products, assisted chefs, worked with cash register, maintained inventory and did assistant duties. Basically just helped out to colleagues & customers.
- 01/2006 - 04/2006 - full time job @ "LuLu Pizza", Riga, Latvia. Pizza Lulu has been rolling out Riga’s tastiest pizzas since 1994. My role in LuLu Pizza was to make pizzas and take care of my working area, keep it clean. This was smallest branch of this company, but that doesn't mean there was less work! In the busiest hours I was working like "Superman", cause in this branch we were only two persons, I and cashier. Great experience and earner nice useful skills. Thanks to Lulu Pizza manager! (This was part of my schools practice lessons what we had to spend working in food service companies.)
- 09/2006 - 01/2007 - full time job @ "Elande" restaurant, Riga, Latvia. Local restaurant with delicious main dishes and fantastic starters. I loved this place. Worked there in night shift and my duties was: Pizzas! hehe, one more place where I gained experience in different way to create pizzas. Also helped out for main dishes and starters, salads, desserts. Adorable place where to spend evening with friends and have some refreshing drinks made by handsome and friendly bartenders.
- 04/2007 - 10/2007 - full time job @ "Krodzins", Rigas Loci LTD, Ragaciems, Latvia. Complex of restaurant, motel, sauna, pool in small village next to Baltic sea. I was 5in1 there! Worked as cook, barman, cashier, receptionist and waiter at the same time! Great, awesome, amazing experience.
- 09/2008 - 01/2009 - full time job @ "Evento" cafe, Larnaca, Cyprus. Local restaurant, cafe what offers international menu, start from pasta till seafood dishes. My favorite was "Lava Lava" - chocolate cake filled with hot chocolate, served with 2 scoops vanilla ice-cream and fresh cream! MMmmm.... You have to try it! Anyways, my role there was cook assistant for first month, then I got higher position and I became cook, who basically prepared cold dishes like salads, starters, desserts. This place and people inspired me a lot, I came up with so many nice and fresh ideas how to create our menu much more interesting and more delicious. But unfortunately boss there was not one of people who likes changes, so in a while I lost my inspiration and I quit.
- 01/2009 - 05/2011 - full time job @ "Pressline" LTD, Larnaca, Cyprus. Quite big and qualitative typography where just paper became as kinda miracle. This was something so new for me, never worked in this kind of field. Learned how to work with huge printers and pressing machines. Most of time I was working on cutter machine, cutting papers in so many sizes, starting from business cards (55mm x 85mm) until big size printings (841 x 594 mm). My basic duties: executed paper pre-treatment and post-processing, assisted senior staff in various administrative requests.
- 06/2011 - 09/2011 - full time job @ "Venus" bar, Nicosia, Cyprus. Small straight friendly bar in the heart of town. I was barman there, had quite interesting time there. Original customers, a lot of fun. Great experience.
- 02/2012 - 05/2012 - Part time job @ "Sandford" care home, Sheffield, UK, as domestic/caretaker. My main duties are to keep clean all building, to take care of the house.
- 06/2012 - 23/3/13 - Full time job @ "J D Wetherspoons" pub "Sheaf Island" as kitchen associate. Quite new and big pub on Ecclesall road. Basically I am cooking burgers and steaks and the british breakfasts!
- 1/4/13 - 25/5/2013 - Moved from Sheffield to London Wetherspoons. Full time kitchen associate position in busy London's touristic area. Basic British menu, burgers, sandwiches, panini's, salads. Microwaves.
- 27/5/13 - present - Full time commi chef position in popular restaurant in Central London. One of the London's TOP restaurants with the best chefs. Been there 4 months and already been kinda promoted. Worked on cold larder first three months, then been sent over to grill. Great place to learn new stuff and learn what means discipline. Long hours, big pressure.
