This is your Life. Do what you love and do it often. If you don't like your job, quit. If you don't have enough time, stop watching TV. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you, when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing, all emotions are beautiful. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Life is simple. Open your mind, arms and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences. Travel often. Getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities only come once, seize them. Life is about people you meet, and the things yiu create with them. So go out and start creating. Live your dream and share your passion. Life is short!

Random thought of the day: How many things we call "things" when we are bored to find the real name of those things or we just don't know them! So it's much more easier to say "Thing", "thingy", "stuff" etc... This made me laugh today, it shows how big retards we can be! lol

<![CDATA[Motherland betrayer? ]]>Mon, 19 Nov 2012 13:54:34 GMThttp://andrushka.weebly.com/talky-walky/motherland-betrayerPicture
As it was Latvia's Independence Day, loads of news agencies wrote staff about people who has left Latvia to go to live abroad. Saying that these people are betrayers and that they are weak and careless and many other not so good things. Now approximately abroad lives around 200'00 Latvians.
I absolutely don't agree with them! I wanna brake these stereotypes!
Personally I left from my country 4 years ago. I finished my studies and I had a chance to go to Cyprus, cos my mom already lived there for one year! It was not easy to leave everything I had and go somewhere I never been and where everything is new. I knew I will have to start absolutely new life! New languages, new people, new rules, laws, weather, everything! At that time my English was in "yes and no, thank you" level, so believe me, it asked a lot of courage and power to be able to start new life from almost 0!!!! First months in Cyprus was so exciting, so I didn't even miss my country, I didn't even think about it! Then, when things are not so exciting anymore and they have become more as usual staff, you start to realize what happened. What have you done to make your life better. Where are you, what you have at the moment and what you had before. You start to compare things, how this is here, and how it was back home. You start to question yourself, is it right, should I be here? Will I go back? Then memories flies above you as dark rain clouds. Memories about family, friends, school, just even how nice it was to go out and be on your own land. Then you realize what have you sacrificed for your own life! You have left your home, your family, your friends, and everything you had all these 18 years of your life. Everything is there, but I am here.... It is really hard when it comes to Christmas or any national celebrations, you feel so empty.... We can make the same foods, decorations, get some Latvians around, sing Latvian songs, but still it will never be the same!
I've never been my countries betrayer! I love and adore my country, always been big patriot! We all want a better life and sometimes we have to do things what we don't really want to, just to achieve what we want, what includes leaving the land you grew up and lived most of the life. But it doesn't mean that I've stopped to love my land, love my people and forgot traditions! I will always carry Latvias name in the world for the best! Latvia is the most beautiful country in the world!
Lesson of the day: Don't judge a person before you've been and felt how it is to walk in his shoes!

                                                                                                                                                                     Your Andris.

<![CDATA[have you heard of World toilet day!? Yes toilet day!!!! ]]>Mon, 19 Nov 2012 11:44:23 GMThttp://andrushka.weebly.com/talky-walky/have-you-heard-of-world-toilet-day-yes-toilet-dayPicture
Fancy a seat?
World Toilet Day is observed annually on 19 November. This international day of action aims to break the taboo around toilets and draw attention to the global sanitation challenge.

Can you imagine not having a toilet? Can you imagine not having privacy when you need to relieve yourself? Although unthinkable for those living in wealthy parts of the world, this is a harsh reality for many - in fact, one in three people on this globe, does not have access to a toilet! Have you ever thought about the true meaning of dignity?

World Toilet Day was created to pose exactly these kind of questions and to raise global awareness of the daily struggle for proper sanitation that a staggering 2.5 billion people face. World Toilet Day brings together different groups, such as media, the private sector, development organisations and civil society in a global movement to advocate for safe toilets. Since its inception in 2001, World Toilet Day has become an important platform to demand action from governments and to reach out to wider audiences by showing that toilets can be fun and sexy as well as vital to life.

Get involved in World Toilets Day as well at: http://www.worldtoiletday.org/index.php

Why do you give a shit? :P

<![CDATA[My great job of 2012 ]]>Wed, 14 Nov 2012 14:22:25 GMThttp://andrushka.weebly.com/talky-walky/my-great-job-of-2012Picture
One day I received a call from a friend offering me to join one charity project! Project is to collect shoe boxes with toys and other presents from people and send these presents to kids all around the world! Kids in orphanages and other who really needs them! Yes, let's do it, was my answer! So yesterday we gone to town, bought some toys, some other useful stuff for kids, like coloring books, pencils, tooth brushes, towels, gloves, tooth pastes and some sweets. Gone to shoe shop next doors and asked for few empty shoe boxes and we gone home. At home we wrapped all the shoe boxes in nice colorful wrap papers and put all the toys and other stuff in them! I just looked at those boxes knowing that I made someone's Christmas much more brighter and happier, it made my day! I might not get any Christmas present this year as I am away from all my family and friends, but I know that someone who really needs it, will get it and be so so happy! :) I don't need anything, this made my Christmas already! :)

<![CDATA[Cyprus Story ]]>Thu, 21 Jun 2012 17:01:06 GMThttp://andrushka.weebly.com/talky-walky/cyprus-storyPicture
Paphos Banana 2008
It is the middle of August, I am in Latvia, Riga, sitting at home jobless, just recently graduated from college. Looking for job, applying for any cook position what comes up, unfortunately not receiving positive responses. It's already rough economical times, more jobless people than available jobs. At the same time my older sister was jobless and hers relationships with hers boyfriend were falling apart. She was spending time with hers little son Kristofers and recovering after rough relationships. So, there was nothing what kept us there, no job, no studies, nothing! As our Mom were already in Cyprus, we start to think, why we couldn't be there and enjoy the lovely weather and Mediterranean sea as well!? It was more tempting than anything! In few days we had plane tickets in our hands!!! Woop Wooop!!!
Now it is early, dark and fogy August morning, it is 27th of August! It's time to collect our luggage and go to Rigas International Airport. My father comes from our village to collect us from our Rigas apartment and give us lift to the airport. Airport. At this moment, we are thinking that we are going to Cyprus only for little while, not for ages, maybe even only for holidays. Me, My sister Anna and hers son Kristofers saying 'goodbyeš's' to our dad and our step mom. I am too excited, so not feeling sad or emotional at all, I just can't wait to get in the plane. This is going to be my first flight as well, never been in the plane before! This is it! Checking in and going to take our places in that huge thing what will fly us to Cyprus. I am a bit nervous, because it is my first flight in my life. Plane takes off... we are in the air. This moment I will never forget! I am so excited as little child, just can't stop to smile. To calm me down, I order glass of wine and we cheer up with my sis. First flight is to Vienna Airport, Austria. Little bit more than an hour in the airport and our second flight calls us to Larnaca, Cyprus.
When our plane landed in Larnaca International Airport, my life turned 360 degrees around! Will never forget that feeling, that heat when plane's doors opened! I looked at my sister, she looked at me and we both were smiling like idiots. You should see those faces, smiles till ears, seriously! I think I never felt that happy, so excited! For God sake, I was on "tropical" island! It was end of the August, probably the hottest time in Cyprus. Little Kristofer weren't so excited, for him it was just hot day! As he was only four years old, he just thought it should be like that, and that's it! We came from rainy, foggy and cold Latvia, so imagine what we were wearing! Jeans, shirt, jumper and over all jacket! As soon we received our luggage we moved to exit, to get out of crowd and try to find our mom, who suppose to welcome us there. There she is, standing in Hawaiian shirt with lovely tan and huge smile on hers face. Seeing each other after a while is such a great moment. When hugging is finished we are going to our mom's car to go to our new home. As we are leaving chilly Airport building straight away we start to sweat like pigs, we have to get rid of our clothes! We are standing in the middle of airports parking and we can't find mom's car! The heat is killing us, and there is no shade to hide, sun is exactly above us! That's it, we give up, while our mom is gone to look for a car we are stripping down and changing our clothes there in the parking! Awkward moment, but something to remember and have a nice laugh! As we learned few minutes later, our mom did park hers car in the bus parking, so it's been removed to airport police parking. She paid 40 euro fine and we got our car back! First Cyprus adventure written down in our story books. This basically is all. This is how and why I came to Cyprus. The end of this story is here, but more interesting stories will be uploaded soon somewhere here in my page, so don't be shy to dig deeper! ;) x

<![CDATA[Coffeine and nicotine]]>Wed, 20 Jun 2012 12:59:50 GMThttp://andrushka.weebly.com/talky-walky/coffeine-and-nicotinePicture
It's been 27 days since I don't smoke!!! I am strong and I can prove it! lol To be very honest, I did had few fags on saturday, it is just impossible to go out, drink and to not smoke! But so far so good! And to be more honest, it is really good and easy feeling when I don't smoke! Feel much more energetic and powerful and not so heavy! Also it is 11 days since I don't drink coffee!! I could say I am getting the same effect what I got from quiting smoking! My health improves indeed! So, since I don't smoke and drink coffee I am planning to do some charity and donate my blood. Only thing I have to reduce or much better would be to stop it at all, it is alcohol! What to do that I love it? I enjoy being tipsy and enjoy the taste of alcoholic drinks! Recently I reduced my alcohol level in me, because of my economical situation. No money, no honey! He he! At least I saved few days of my life! lol Well, guys take example from me and STOP to take those toxic smokes in your lungs! BREATHE & LIVE! :)
Good luck! :)
